The application, previously known as the Succulent Tracker App, serves as a comprehensive tool for individuals looking to manage their houseplants effectively. It facilitates the tracking of essential details, including plant names, locations, and care events such as watering, repotting, pruning, fertilizing, and pest management.

The app features a dedicated view for each plant where users can record specific information, upload photographs, and access a history of plant care activities over recent weeks. Users can maintain a visual record of each plant by capturing new images or utilizing previously taken photographs.

A trial version of the app is available for free, allowing users to manage up to five plants. For those interested in managing additional plants, subscription options are offered at a monthly rate of $2.99 or an annual fee of $29.99. The paid subscription enables users to expand their plant collection without limitations.

The application offers multiple viewing options to organize and present plant information. The “Watering” view efficiently indicates which plants require attention based on user-defined schedules or average watering intervals. Moreover, users can easily see which plants need watering in the next few days or have been watered recently.

In the “My Plants” view, users have the ability to see photographs of their entire collection grouped by genus or location (indoor vs. outdoor), along with any tags that have been assigned. Tapping on an individual plant provides access to detailed data.

Within the individual plant editor screen, helpful information can be recorded such as:

 <li>Nickname</li>
 <li>Photos</li>
 <li>Watering schedule</li>
 <li>Date of last watering</li>
 <li>Date of repotting</li>
 <li>Date pest treatment occurred</li>
 <li>Purchase location</li>
 <li>Changes made to light or location</li>
 <li>Date of propagation</li>
 <li>And additional notes</li>
</ul>

A “Note” feature allows for the inclusion of extra information about each plant while tags provide a means to categorize and indicate similarities among plants.

Record-keeping for new care actions—such as watering, repotting, pruning, pest treatment, fertilizing, or adding notes—is facilitated through an accessible edit button. Users can set desired watering frequencies that will trigger notifications when it is time for the next watering session. Information about average watering times and the last watering date is readily available.

The tagging system further enhances organizational capabilities, allowing users to document details that matter most—ranging from source information to specific light requirements or propagation methods.

Actions can be recorded across multiple plants simultaneously by selecting groups based on shared characteristics viewed within the app. This feature simplifies the process of care management, enabling efficiency in recording actions like watering across collections instead of one-by-one.

The app presents versatile options for managing plant care seamlessly and efficiently. With its user-friendly interface and practical functionalities for tracking care activities, it serves as an invaluable resource for plant enthusiasts looking to enhance their gardening experience.
